Director of Travel Services

Our candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering exceptional travel services/itineraries for our collection of ultra high net worth members and C-suite executive accounts. Quick turnaround for hotel, itinerary, and concierge requests and reporting to our CEO and COO.

 

The position is Boston based at our Back Bay office location on Newbury Street. While this position is primarily virtually based, it will be required to attend team meetings, partner events, etc. at least once per week. Hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work independently on time sensitive client requests

  • Ability to communicate effectively to ultra high net worth client and C-Suite executives

  • A eye for anticipating and identifying the requirements of the discerning traveler as it relates to hotels, designing experiences, and concierge 

  • Creating and executing detailed travel itineraries to straightforward hotel bookings

  • Researching destination, restaurants and local experiences

  • Provides feedback through one-on-one interaction, weekly team meetings, and other forms of communication

  • Ability to develop and execute onboarding processes for new clients

  • Ability to develop and build sales processes and work flows

  • Ability to understand and test out new technology in our industry and evaluate its effectiveness and potential within the TRAVELLUSTRE organization

  • Establish long lasting and meaningful relationships with clients and partners

  • Attend in-office meetings and evening events on occassion in Boston

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years travel industry experience on travel advisor/designer side

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software and Google platform

  • Knowledge and experience of working with Sabre, Clientbase, AXUS, ASANA. Will train on our intranat (Claromentis)

  • Detail oriented 

  • Ability to demonstrate personal and organizational integrity

  • Capability of working in a team environment supporting management and staff, following policies, providing feedback, assisting in special projects, work flows, and taking on additional responsibility

  • Effective and polished oral and written communications skills

  • Organizational and executive functioning skills that result in high productivity

  • Strong consultative and collaborative approach. 

  • Highly organized, adaptable and comfortable working in an ambiguous environment. 

  • Ability to prioritize a high volume of work and work to tight deadlines. 

  • GDS experience with Sabre a plus

  • Experience and engagement with Virtuoso network a plus

  • Must be comfortable working with multiple points of contact and working with a variety of personalities.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related discipline or comparable experience desired but not required.

 

Compensation

Commensurate with experience plus quarterly bonus
