Day 1

Service: LIR Meet and Greet Service

Upon arrival, please proceed to Immigration and Customs and then exit the building where your greeter will meet you with a sign with your name on it and a green flag.

Transfer: LIR Airport – Arenal

Day 2

Breakfast at Nayara

Tour: Hanging Bridges & La Fortuna Waterfall tour with lunch

This tour allows you to visit both the Arenal Hanging Bridges and the La Fortuna Waterfall. First, we will head to the hanging bridges. This reserve consists of 240 hectares (600 acres) of protected land. We will walk a 3 km (2 miles) circuit with 16 bridges ranging from 5 to 100 meters (16 to 328 ft.) and up to 60 meters high (196 ft.). There is also an optional additional trail to a small waterfall to get some priceless pictures. This spectacular piece of primary rainforest is home to many species of birds, plants, reptiles, mammals, and insects which our naturalist guide will help you to locate among the dense vegetation. Our next stop is the La Fortuna Waterfall. We will enjoy a hike down towards the base of the fall for about 15 minutes. Upon arrival, you can choose to simply enjoy the majestic beauty of the waterfall and its surrounding area or jump in for a refreshing swim. The tour will end with a delicious traditional lunch at “La Finquita” Restaurant.

Day 3

Breakfast at Nayara

Transfer: Arenal – Origins Lodge with Stop at Rio Celeste with lunch.

This peculiar color is given by a physical phenomenon that reflects the sunlight through the water and occurs during the joining of two streams that give birth to the river, this place is known as the “Teñideros”. Rio Celeste Rainforest Hike is one of the most beautiful and scenic rivers in Costa Rica, located in the lush rainforests of Tenorio Volcano National Park, undiscovered by mass tourism. The park is home to an incredible biodiversity of flora and fauna, including the tapir, wild cats, monkeys, toucans, and a vast variety of amphibians and reptiles. Once at the park entrance we start the hike through this primary Humid and Rainy Forest, several fauna species and exuberant flora are easily found in this ecosystem. During this 3-hour walk, we visit a magnificent waterfall, the place where the river dies with the light blue coloration, hot water springs (swimming not allowed for park’s administrative rules); fumaroles of volcanic gasses, where temperatures up to 1500 °F are expelled from time to time, and the “Borbollones”, where exhaust gasses at the base of the river give the appearance of boiling water.

Day 4

Day to enjoy:

Yoga before breakfast (based on availability with instructor): Rejuvenate with our yoga and meditation classes included in the daily activities in the yoga shala!

Morning Farm Tour (optional): Start the morning surrounded by the beautiful farm animals, try milking the cow and feed chickens with the farm guides. Ending the tour, you will enjoy the process of making sugar cane juice from garden to taste. Bring: Closed shoes, bottled Water, Sunscreen, Repellent.

Horseback Riding: Enjoy a half-day tour riding one of our horses, going through different farms, crossing the Tigra river, and plantations. Bring: Closed shoes, Bottled water, Sunscreen.

Cooking/ Mixology Class: Discover your talent with mixologists from El Salto restaurant preparing cocktails by mixing spirits with herbs, local fruits, and other liquors. Savoring their freshness and organic flavor. Enjoy with the chefs from El Salto Restaurant preparing a local dish from the start to the end, saving their freshness and organic flavor from our garden and farms.

Staying at: Origins Lodge/ Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner Included.

Day 5

Transfer: Origins Lodge – Casa Chameleon with Rio Tenorio Rafting in route and lunch included.

A beautiful river that rises at Tenorio Volcano in the Guanacaste Mountain range, its pure and white water makes it the best river in the Guanacaste area for rafting. You can combine almost 20 kilometers of rapids with magnificent landscapes surrounded by tropical forests. No experience is required but good effort is needed on this world-famous class III and IV white water rafting. This challenging river will take the energy out of you, that's why we will have a very complete and delicious lunch. Our staff will make you feel confident and our modern and certified equipment will let you mount the rapids smoothly.

Included: Transportation, entrance fees, lunch, personal flotation device, helmet, paddle, fruit snack, bottle of water, specialist rafting guide.

What to bring: Closed and well fit shoes, light clothing, extra clothing, sunscreen, insect repellent.

Lodging: Casa Chameleon/ Breakfast at Origins / Cocktail Hour and Dinner at Casa Chameleon.

Day 6

Tour: Morning Catamaran Tour with snacks.
Enjoy a morning sailing on one of our luxury catamarans at the Flamingo Marina. Spend the morning sailing along Costa Rica’s beautiful coastline with an open bar throughout the cruise. Halfway through your journey we will stop and enjoy a guided snorkeling tour and other water activities. In the meantime, a great buffet of snacks will be prepared by our chef.

 

Included: Snacks, Snorkeling gear, Paddle Board, Kayak, Transportation, Drinks. What to bring: towel, sunscreen, extra clothing.
