Recommended For
Really anyone - Toronto is a major city (#4 in North America) and it's clear had something for everyone.
Not-to-be-Missed Experience or Activity
The fusion food tour with Chopsticks and Forks. Because of the impressive diversity in Toronto (nearly every country is represented by at least one person living there), the food scene is pretty special and unique, and it's particularly apparent in Kensington Market, where the food tour took us. Everything we had was fusion in some way (Japanese+Korean sandwich, Canadian+Filipino poutine), and across the board delicious.
Favorite culinary aspect of the hotel or region
See above - really, the fact that Toronto has attracted such a wide range of cultures and people means you get access to excellent cuisine from around the world within city limits.
Favorite Wellness aspect of the hotel or region
The Fairmont Royal York had two things I loved - a well-designed and appointed gym, and shower scent pods on their Gold level. For every Gold room, their shower was equipped with a diffuser of some kind, where the guest could insert the pod of their choice (lavender, for example), and it would disperse during their shower.
Favorite amenity
The Ritz's club level was one of the nicest I'd seen in a while, and it included five meal changes and an open bar.
Kudos to:
Max, Destination Toronto's representative and our "chaperone", was incredible - so much knowledge and planned a perfect weekend.
