Not-to-be-Missed Experience or Activity

A short hike of the Tet Paul Nature Trail (we did ours at sunset!)

A trip to Sulphur Springs (just get there early in the day before the cruise ships arrive!) or a dip at Pitons Falls

Enjoying a cold Pitons beer while admiring the pitons or sipping frozen mojitos from the Caribbean boat bar at Sugar Beach

Favorite culinary aspect of the hotel or region

All of the food was super local, fresh, and grows in abundance!

The best meal handsdown was lunch at Jade Mountain, featuring stunning views of the Pitons. A significant portion of the food comes from their permaculture garden, regularly changing with the seasons or even weekly, and focuses on traditional Saint Lucian dishes such as fresh fruit juice, Caribbean corn soup, mahi mahi topped with fruit salsa, and the most delightful cheesecake!

Favorite Wellness aspect of the hotel or region

BodyHoliday's motto, "Give us your body for a week, and we'll give you back your mind," rings true, and I felt that the all-inclusive approach to wellness was evident throughout my experience. The once-daily wellness treatments included with the stay, along with a bonus session from Virtuoso benefits, were extraordinary, ranging from the Signature Living Facial to Ayurveda, massage, health consultations, and any form of treatment you could imagine. Beyond that, whether wellness meant sunset yoga or wine and cheese, there truly was something for everyone.

While I didn't get a chance to experience treatments at each property, they all have unique wellness offerings.

Jade Mountain is rumored to have the best therapists on-island.

Ladera has a brand new Lévé spa and is set to debut its brand new treatment villas, one with an infinity pool, soon.

Be sure to book treatments in one of Sugar Beach's 10 treatment rooms well in advance as they do book out.

Favorite amenity

The amenities at BodyHoliday were exceptional. With an already generous all-inclusive program, the additional treatments and training options were impressively extravagant. I particularly adored the complimentary Ayurveda full body treatment, which included a herbal wrap, massage, and scrub, all of which I experienced in their beautiful Ayurveda pavilion.

Kudos to: refers to a guide, chef, member of hotel team, etc. that went out of their way

Every night, Alfred of the Piano Bar was a beloved performer and has been treasured by guests for years. There's nothing quite like enjoying a spontaneous sing-along around the piano with fellow visitors.

Taking sailing lessons with Olympian James Peters was an unforgettable experience too.

The BodyGuards at BodyHoliday are legendary, each showcasing their own distinctive approach to Saint Lucian hospitality. Trevor was undoubtedly a favorite, and morning strolls with Dion were certainly more challenging than a casual walk in the park.

The staff at the various restaurants, including the ice cream cart and coconut stand, were truly exceptional as well!

Additional Remarks

While Sugar Beach, Ladera, Hotel Chocolat, Jade Mountain on the south side of the island each appeal for different reasons (the first for families and latter two for honeymooners) offering proximity to many of the islands highlights like hikes of the Pitons, snorkeling at Anse Chastenet, white sand of Sugar Beach, volcanos, hot springs, etc.

The north of the island has more white sand beaches, and is a bit more commercial. Cap Maison is a Relais & Chateaux property that is perfect for families in riad-style guesthouses.

BodyHoliday boasts an impressive return rate of over 60%, with many guests returning time and again. I met several solo travelers who had visited a dozen times or more—some over 20—and one even had annual trips written into her marriage agreement. And I get it—I’ll definitely be back.

The resort offers incredible value with over 30 daily activities, including complimentary sailing and scuba diving, a 3:1 staff-to-guest ratio, multiple dining venues, an exceptional wellness program, and even a dedicated hotel block for solo travelers, which I especially appreciated. While it's more of a 4-star property, the oceanfront rooms with soaking tubs provide a beautifully pampered retreat.
