Specific sites not to be missed. Kennebunkport has a lot to offer visitors. Great beaches, a quaint town with unique stores for shopping, amazing coastal views, boating, beaching, delicious seafood and fun, easy dining. We stayed at the Yachtman Hotel and Marina Club but we were able to visit a few of the properties that are part of the Kennebunkport Resort Collection. One property, Cape Arundel Resort & Inn, is a beautiful Victorina mansion located on Ocean Avenue. There is a gorgeous front lawn with Adirondack chairs where guests can relax and enjoy the views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Bush Compond.

Activities The Yachtman Hotel and Marina Club bungalows all have a view of the Kennebunk River right outside your room. It is just a 10 minute walk from here to town and the Yachtman offers complimentary bikes to visitors. I think clients would love to take the bikes into town and around the area to sightsee some of the beautiful homes and the gorgeous ocean views. There is a cute outdoor Marina Bar at the Yachtman to relax with a drink before dinner and watch the amazing sunset.

Favourite restaurants, a culinary dish that stood out or an aspect of the culinary program you loved. We had dinner at the the Boathouse Waterfront Hotel and Restaurant, which is part of the Kennebunkport Resort Collection. This restaurant was a 5 minute walk from the Yachtsman. It sits right over the water with big water facing windows. The seafood was so delicious and fresh. We also were lucky enough to have dinner at the award winning restaurant Earth, which is located at Hidden Pond, another hotel that is part of the collection. The restaurant uses seasonal vegetables and herbs picked from their own garden to prepare their amazing dinners.

Experience - describe the one overall standout experience you wouldn't want clients to miss. We were able to spend some time at Hidden Pond checking out the cottages, bungalows and the treehouse bungalows. All of the accommodations are spread out for privacy and beautifully and individually decorated. There are so many special features at this property, from the garden where guests are able to pick fresh fruits and vegetables, to the nightly smores party around the bonfire. I think that if clients want to spend more than a weekend in Kennebunkport a nice idea would be to split the time between a couple of the Kennebunkport Resort Collection properties. A perfect vacation would be to spend a few days at the Yachtman, where clients would have the convenience of being close to town and then spending time at Hidden Pond to end to their vacation. There is hiking, biking, beaching, a relaxing tree top spa, an adult pool, a children's pool and many other activities available to guests.
