Experience
My favorite vineyard not to miss are Palmaz Vineyards. The grounds are beautiful and it has a unique high tech way of making wine. The wine caves are extraordinary. Another winery visited was Inglenook, owned by the movie director Francis Ford Coppola (also owns Turtle Inn and Blancaneaux Lodge). The estate home on the property boasts old world charm and
the property has magnificent grounds. We also went to Stag's Leap Wine Cellar, which had a great tasting and our favorite wine.
Another favorite winery was in Sonoma in the town of Healdsburg - Trattore Farms. Not only did we taste wine, but they also offer olive oil tastings. They grow their own olives as well as grapes, so the olive oil production takes place on site. We spent a lot of time with the owner and she is a" Olive Miller," a sommelier for olives!
