Stayed At

Ani Villa

Better For

Couples/friends groups, families, intimate corporate retreats, celebratory travel. Privacy and intimacy with all the amenities and high level service of a 5-star property. Tip: This villa books up to a year + in advance. Book early!

Not to be missed

Ani Art Academy. Ani also has villas in Anguilla, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. Each stay at an Ani resort (each resort has an Ani art academy in their community), you are directly supporting that local community. We had the opportunity to visit the artists and see their progress and current works. This academy offers a career path to those who have completed the necessary local schooling requirements and is a selective multi-year intensive art program. You can view and support these local artists by visiting this link here. Also, no stay at Ani is complete without a few turns on any of the waterslides

When you opt into the Ani Villa experience, your stay comes with a well seasoned staff offering your own chef, mixologists, wellness team, tennis pro's, watersports pro, nanny and activity facilitators, fishing guides. You name it, the team can make it happen! My favorite was learning about the local dishes with chef. We made our own versions of Mangu, a plantation mash with pork and other spices.

Enjoy your very own culinary team during your stay. Prior to your arrival, work closely with the chef to communicate any preferences, ideas, etc. Each evening we enjoyed a different theme dinner, each better than the last always thoughtfully paired with wines. There are so many beautiful oceanfront locations around the property to host a memorable dining experiences.

Wrap Up

You feel a world away on the Northern coast of the DR. The views in either direction are mountain ranges and crystal blue waters. Total privacy, no high rise busy reports in this area. Very safe with private entrance and 24/7 security (as most resorts around the world do). We ventured into the small town of Cabrera for a visit to a local cigar purveyor, spent time a local lounge chatting away with locals. Very warm, friendly vibe here on the Northern Coast.
